Meet Nnaemeka M. Umerah, MD

The Women’s Health Institute, founded by Nnaemeka Umerah, M.D., offers excellence in gynecological care. With over 30 years of experience in the field, Dr. Umerah is committed to providing the highest quality of care to the community. His caring nature and exceptional bedside manner, paired with his clinical and analytical eye, make WHI the preferred choice for residents of Middle Georgia.

Born in Nigeria, Dr. Umerah earned his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill’s School of Medicine. After his residency at the Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, he specialized in gynecology (GYN) and decided to move to Georgia, where he has built a strong community through the Women’s Health Institute’s two locations: Macon and Warner Robins.

In addition to his medical expertise, Dr. Umerah harnesses his MBA (Carnegie Mellon’s Heinz College of Information Systems and Public Policy) to lead his team at WHI. The Institute offers general gynecology services in both the Macon and the Warner Robins locations, as well as minimally invasive gynecologic and aesthetic procedures, and treatments for incontinence and vein disorders.
